The Benefits of Water Exercise

Exercising in water offers many physical and mental health benefits and is a good choice for people who want to be more active with lower risk of injury. The CDC reports that swimmers have about half the risk of death compared to inactive people and people report enjoying water-based exercise more than exercise on land. They can also exercise longer in water than on land without increased effort or joint or muscle pain.

We offer rec swim opportunities via SignUpGenius. Currently enrolled swim school families and HAWC swimmers/exercisers are eligible to sign up. (Swim school families please do not sign up for a rec swim during your swimmers lessons):

Harford Aquatic Wellness Center Registration and Payment

Registration Process:
1. Select pass that works for you. Note: You are only eligible for the Quarterly Add-On Pass if you a current Quarterly Personal Pass. HAWC Program Policies
2. Download the Registration Form. Complete and save the completed form. The completed form can be emailed to Info@HarfordAquaticWellness.com or mailed to 2213A Commerce Road, Forest Hill, MD 21050.
3. Pay online (Enter Registrant name as PO#); credit card payment may be made in person at HAWC. Registration and payment by check can be mailed. In person registration with payment by check or cash only at Aqua Culture Swim School
4. Registration is finalized when completed, signed registration form and payment is received.
